I’ve been slacking on my blog posts as of late, but I’ve pretty much spent the month of January moving into my new home, furniture shopping and building a dream closet (finally)!!  Perhaps I’ll show you the finished product once I’m settled. With a little pressure from my friends and readers (I read your comments!!), I realize that the blogging must go on. After more than 4 years of blogging, I still enjoy it, but the catch 22 of blogging is that the busier you are, the more you have to blog about and the more difficult blogging becomes at times.  I once read that, “The more we do, the more we can do, the more busy we are, the more leisure we have”.  This is where I need to be. lol.

Here’s an outfit I wore to work and and a couple of after work events the other day. It was a good excuse to wear my YSL Palais Block Heel Boots again (the amazing cutout wedge boots shot by fashion photographer Tommy Ton from Jak & Jil) and my Jimmy Choo Tatum fringe bag, one of the fun & flirty bags in my collection of over-sized bags. Fringe always seems to make its way in and out of fashion, but whether in or out this season, I’ve always been a fan of fringe, when done right.

I’m loving my Lanvin for H&M shades but wish I had more sunny hours in the day to enjoy these fully. I’m anxiously awaiting Spring.

I wore this outfit to the ‘God Save the Queen’ event at The Room (The Bay)  and Audi’s Art of Progression Event at Brick Works and although I was severely under dressed, I pretty much just wanted a reason to wear the YSL Palais Block Heel platform boots I discovered at the Tommy Ton shoe party. Holt Renfrew called me a few days ago to tell me that my shoes arrived and that there was a very limited quantity available, so I snagged them as quick as I could get there and am I ever glad I did. It’s not like I need another pair of black platform wedges but they were just too cool to pass up.

Last night I wore these YSL Palais Block Platform Boots and they were so fun to wear for a long night of frolicking. These were the same boots that were photographed by Tommy Ton for the “Pic Me” Shoe Event at Holt Renfrew a couple months ago and retail for approx. $1145.

Last night, Toronto’s Fashion elite got dressed to the nines to attend “God Save the Queen”, a private soiree hosted by The Room (@Hudson’s Bay Co on Queen St), quickly becoming my one stop shop for luxury fashion attire. It was fun bumping into so many fabulous and stylish friends and familiar faces and thrilling to see men & women get decked out for this unique event which was a celebration of some of Britain’s most talented designers, including Nicholas Kirkwood, Charlotte Olympia, Marios Schwab, Giles Deacon, Erdem, Mark Fast, and Jonathan Saunders. To be honest, I just wanted to shop, not mingle. lol. I’m sure you’ll be seeing thousands of photos from this event because the room was filled with press and bloggers, one in the same these days.

Bumped into Tommy Ton again from Jak and Jil blog and I just happen to be wearing the YSL Palais Block Heels he photographed for the Pic Me event at Holt Renfrew.
