I took an impromptu trip to the Carribean, the beautiful St.Maarten, to spend time with my dear good friend Ania. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about SXM so it was definitely on my hit list of places to visit hence I took a few days off from @shopFY and hopped on a plane for yet another random trip. We stayed on this beautiful beach front oasis with our own private beach and from the picture perfect blue water to the daily fresh seafood, I was in Heaven. We jammed packed a lot into our short vacation and was surrounded by unbelievable sights and sounds, of which we captured hundreds of photos, but here’s few for now. More SXM updates coming soon.

One of favorite pairs of sunglasses in my endless vault of sunglasses, these YSL Vintage Frames. The just slightly dim lens are great for those long days when the sun goes down before you do.

It was my longtime friend Wayne Warner’s Annual Birthday Celebration at Maison Mercer, the beautiful new Toronto ‘it’ spot. It was also my BFF Karen’s birthday, which gave me good reason to throw on some sequin bling for the occasion. I scored this fabulous dress from Fashionably Yours (of course) and apparently it’s a sample from French Connection in the UK. Since it’s been unusually chilly lately, this dress was perfect, but truthfully, I’m really looking forward to saying good-bye to anything in my closet with sleeves! Spring, where art thou?

Happy Birthday Warner!

I’ve been slacking on my blog posts as of late, but I’ve pretty much spent the month of January moving into my new home, furniture shopping and building a dream closet (finally)!! Perhaps I’ll show you the finished product once I’m settled. With a little pressure from my friends and readers (I read your comments!!), I realize that the blogging must go on. After more than 4 years of blogging, I still enjoy it, but the catch 22 of blogging is that the busier you are, the more you have to blog about and the more difficult blogging becomes at times. I once read that, “The more we do, the more we can do, the more busy we are, the more leisure we have”. This is where I need to be. lol.
Here’s an outfit I wore to work and and a couple of after work events the other day. It was a good excuse to wear my YSL Palais Block Heel Boots again (the amazing cutout wedge boots shot by fashion photographer Tommy Ton from Jak & Jil) and my Jimmy Choo Tatum fringe bag, one of the fun & flirty bags in my collection of over-sized bags. Fringe always seems to make its way in and out of fashion, but whether in or out this season, I’ve always been a fan of fringe, when done right.

I’m loving my Lanvin for H&M shades but wish I had more sunny hours in the day to enjoy these fully. I’m anxiously awaiting Spring.

Photographed by Tommy Ton of Jak & Jil Blog for the Pic Me event at Holt Renfrew…

The glamorous J-lo rockin the same bag in brown.

I have a thing for preppy classics like this Ralph Lauren oversized boyfriend blazer, which is yet another amazing find from Fashionably Yours. It brings me back to my naughty private school days when I had to wear a uniform with a crested blazer. Click here for a close-up on my Cartier sunnies…

Clearly leopard is one of the hottest trends of the season, but regardless of how quickly it seems to make its way in and out of fashions’ top 10, it’s one trend that I consider a classic. I don’t think I could ever get sick of animal prints which is why I love this vibrant blue leopard YSL silk scarf so much, being that it puts a fancy twist on the traditional brown print. It’s one of those extraordinary pieces that I might just keep in my closet forever.

Ahhhh, the Chanel Wallet On A Chain aka WOC in this vibrant red raspberry color, fits all my daily essentials while I run around at work. Keep reading for the break down on my full outfit…

Of all the logos, I’m a huge fan of the YSL logo, so it’s one I don’t mind having front and centre. Ok, fine I’m a fan of many logos, but I have a super soft spot for the letters Y-S-L. The YSL calfvelvet clutch is in the same style of the jackets of the Fall/Winter 2010 Ready-to-Wear Collection and is covered with a transparent flap. I’m not quite sure what calfvelvet is exactly, but sounds as interesting as it looks and am considering adding this to my new clutch collection. Retails for approx. $1400 CAD.

I love this heavily studded blazer I scored from Fashionably Yours and wore to the Greta Constantine SS 2011 Event on Friday. I’m not even sure who makes it because it didn’t have a tag when I got it, but I’m pretty sure it’s from Zara. Regardless, it’s fab and it’s found a happy home in my closet.

Chanel Red caviar flap & my assigned seat #G20.
