I recently attended the 2012 All Black Wear Affair (ABWA) at Liberty Grand in Toronto, a huge annual event put on by my dear & long time friend Wayne Warner. I needed a last minute all black outfit so I put together this random outfit with a few of my favorite new pieces. Mainly, the Chanel Red 2.55 Classic Flap & Versace Cutout Platform Boots, both of which I’m totally obsessed with right now. I also finally got a chance to wear the crazy fun Versace for H&M choker. Wayne never ceases to amaze me with his ability to turn out a massive crowd on the coldest day of winter. It was a sea of well dressed ladies & gentleman dressed in black. Good times were had. xo

It was my longtime friend Wayne Warner’s Annual Birthday Celebration at Maison Mercer, the beautiful new Toronto ‘it’ spot. It was also my BFF Karen’s birthday, which gave me good reason to throw on some sequin bling for the occasion. I scored this fabulous dress from Fashionably Yours (of course) and apparently it’s a sample from French Connection in the UK. Since it’s been unusually chilly lately, this dress was perfect, but truthfully, I’m really looking forward to saying good-bye to anything in my closet with sleeves! Spring, where art thou?

The 11th annual All White Wear Affair took place on Friday, July 3/2009 @ the Liberty Grand. I’m not talking Diddy’s White Party 2009 that also took place this weekend, but much much bigger than that. I’m talking about my dear friend Wayne Warner, the originator of All White Parties and the only person who can single-handedly pack up an enormous venue such as Liberty Grand with 2000 + loyal party go-ers and who has been doing it successfully for 11 years! I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, Wayne Warner did it way before Diddy!! He threw his first All White Party 11 years ago and continues to inspire Torontonians to a glamorous lifestyle, a Warner lifestyle. At the end of the day he’s his only competition. Only Wayne Warner, as he celebrated 10 years of The All Black Wear Affair @ Liberty Grand on Friday night. I was blown away by the amount of people that battled the snow to come to this signature event! I almost didnt go and I’ve been supporting Wayne for 10 years, since the first ever All Black Affair. I thought he might need as much support as he could get in the midst of the weather. How wrong I was, he didn’t need me there at all! The party was insane, and our table was on a stage front and center, literally, was kind of hilarious actually. Shit got messy by the end of the night. Thanks Wayne for 10 years of forcing me to dig into my colourful closet for all black!! xoxo

My dear friend Wayne Warner threw another one of his Signature TASTEMAKER events, this time the theme was PREMIUM DENIM held @ Courthouse on Sunday, Oct 12/08. I rolled up around 1am with an entourage of about 25 people and was instructed to politely squeeze them through 150 people in line waiting to get in…”Pardon me, excuse me…” This was the most well behaved crowd ever. Personally, I wouldn’t let 25 people bud in front of me in any line without a peep. lol

I have been supporting Wayne and his parties since the begin, which is over 10 years ago and his fan base seems to keep getting bigger and bigger! I got mad love and respect for Wayne, not just because of everything he’s built over the years, but just because there’s nothing not to love about Wayne. xo

Once inside, it was all about Nebby…it was Nebby’s birthday! Happy Birthday Nebby!

A huge congratulations to my dear old friend Wayne Warner, who just celebrated his 10th annual ALL WHITE AFFAIR @ The Liberty Grand. He’s the original creator of color themed events, and did it way before Diddy!! Not only was it jam packed with a sea of over 2000 patrons dressed in white, but I guarantee every person there left with a lasting memory and something to talk about till next year! I actually attended his first ever AWA and remember being blown away back then too.
