I recently attended the 2012 All Black Wear Affair (ABWA) at Liberty Grand in Toronto, a huge annual event put on by my dear & long time friend Wayne Warner. I needed a last minute all black outfit so I put together this random outfit with a few of my favorite new pieces. Mainly, the Chanel Red 2.55 Classic Flap & Versace Cutout Platform Boots, both of which I’m totally obsessed with right now. I also finally got a chance to wear the crazy fun Versace for H&M choker. Wayne never ceases to amaze me with his ability to turn out a massive crowd on the coldest day of winter. It was a sea of well dressed ladies & gentleman dressed in black. Good times were had. xo

I scored these VERSACE ‘GOLD BUTTON UP’ BLACK PLATFORM BOOTS a couple of months ago from Luisaviaroma.com. Crazy, right? They feature a 160mm heel, which is pretty much the norm for me these days,  but  it’s the 60mm  layered cutout platform that make these boots so outrageously fabulous. Believe it or not, they’re ridiculously comfortable!! I know I always say that, but perhaps my feet are just made for super sky high platform shoes. All I know is, they look good with everything in my fall/winter wardrobe and feel damn good on my feet. What else can you ask for in a boot?

JayZ & Kanye were in town for the Watch the Throne Tour which took place on November 24th & 25th at the ACC in Toronto. I attended both nights. One night with my girls & the other night with my FY boys. I’ve seen both JayZ & Kanye in concert several times in different cities and they never cease to amaze me with their talent. We had exceptional seats so I captured a ton of great photos. After the jump on the first night, we rolled through a private after party put on by my dear friend Wayne Warner at The Thompson Hotel. I walked in just as Jigga got there and the rest is history. Good times were had.

One of my favourite U.S. retailers Intermix opened its first Canadian boutique on Bloor St in Toronto and although they’ve been open since August, I was recently invited to the Official Intermix Canada Launch Party on November 23/11, hosted by The Coveteur at the Airship 37 in the Distillery District. It was well attended by Toronto Fashion’s usual suspects and started off pretty calm until Brooklyn rapper Theophilus London got his hands on the one’s and two’s and turned the party up about a hundred notches. He even managed to get the normally stuffy fashion crowd busting moves on the dance floor (myself & my crew included). I wore a studded piece of Versace for H&M and debuted my Hermes Black Birkin 30 for the occasion. It was another super fun night with my buddy Minna Rhee (Global TV) and my FY lovelies JayStrut & Richard.

On the last day of LG Fashion Week, I wasn’t in the mood to get dressed up, so instead I threw on one of my Lanvin for H&M T-shirts and some fancy accessories. I still have a bunch of pieces from the Lanvin for H&M collection that I haven’t worn yet, so this was the perfect opportunity. I love the details of the shirt from the bedazzled pumps, the ribbons and the huge lace collar. I got these awesome photos from a blogger Omar Leslie. Thanks for sending these to me! xo

My favourite thing about Fashion Week is getting dressed up and throwing on a pair of fancy shoes, but sometimes it’s even more fun to see what everyone else is wearing. I kicked it with Canada’s pop princess Keshia Chante and we played footsies for the camera. Keshia happens to be one of the very first artists I dressed at the start of my styling career, way back when she was 14 years old, so we go way way back when I styled her first 2 music videos and single album cover. We both have surely come a long way since, both in our career and style. lol.

Keshia was wearing a fabulous pair of Versace neon cutout super platform shoes, similar to the crazy Versace runway shoes I blogged about last summer when I was at Bal Harbour Shops in Miami. I was wearing a pair of Christian Louboutin yellow suede platform booties that I scored at Fashionably Yours!! A pop of color, as we anxiously await Spring weather.

I wore this outfit to my FY Xmas Potluck and since I always try to wear a pop of red on Xmas, I rocked my red Versace platform booties with this Michael Kors rabbit fur vest atop this Helmut Lang super cozy over-sized sweater. As you can see, I wasn’t kidding about my cross-body bag obsession. I just couldn’t resist this calf hair leopard chain cross-body bag by Stuart Weitzman. I discovered it whilst Xmas shopping for loved ones.

Apparently this Lanvin for H&M T-shirt was selling on ebay for $1500. Now, I totally get that it’s super cute and was clearly sold out worldwide for a reason, but $1500 is unreasonable considering it originally only cost $49.99. I guess for the people that waited in line to score from this collection, TIME is MONEY!!! Anyhow, I’m glad I scored this tee. Who knows? I may decide to sell it at Fashionably Yours soon.
