Last night, Toronto’s Fashion elite got dressed to the nines to attend “God Save the Queen”, a private soiree hosted by The Room (@Hudson’s Bay Co on Queen St), quickly becoming my one stop shop for luxury fashion attire. It was fun bumping into so many fabulous and stylish friends and familiar faces and thrilling to see men & women get decked out for this unique event which was a celebration of some of Britain’s most talented designers, including Nicholas Kirkwood, Charlotte Olympia, Marios Schwab, Giles Deacon, Erdem, Mark Fast, and Jonathan Saunders. To be honest, I just wanted to shop, not mingle. lol. I’m sure you’ll be seeing thousands of photos from this event because the room was filled with press and bloggers, one in the same these days.

Bumped into Tommy Ton again from Jak and Jil blog and I just happen to be wearing the YSL Palais Block Heels he photographed for the Pic Me event at Holt Renfrew.

And now for the shoes…the highlight of my night. I’ve decided that I want every shoe in the Charlotte Olympia Collection. She understands my platform shoe fetish like no other and has incorporated a joyful abundance of color into her collection that makes me happy.

Yes, I would dare wear these. Dear Charlotte, please send me these when you get a chance. xo

It has been quite an eventful few months since I started blogging again. Fashionably Yours just celebrated the most awesome month to date and FY‘s JayStrut & I were just spotted in the Globe & Mail and now Flare Magazine’s November Issue in the monthly feature section “FLARE WAS THERE“. We shared yet another page with Alexander Wang, as well as Tommy Ton (Jak & Jil Blog), Donna Karan, Dan Levy, Barbara Atkin, and our friend Amy Patel. “Flare Was There” is my favourite “Who’s Who?” of Fashion and Entertainment highlighting some of the cities hottest events. I had the honour of meeting both Alexander Wang and Tommy Ton at both events hosted by Holt Renfrew.

I wore this outfit to the Tommy Tom ‘Pic Me’ Photo Exhibit aka Shoe Party at Holt Renfrew, held last night, on Wed, August 18/2010. When I realized this was going to be an event focused on shoes, I was torn between wearing a new pair of YSL sky high pumps or prematurely busting out the Fall 2010 Acne Admire wedges I got in the mail a few weeks ago. Acne won the shoe battle this time but I think I’ll put these away till fall and continue to enjoy my last few weeks of summer in sandals!! Not only are these boots just so super cool, they are extremely comfortable, so I have a feeling you’ll be seeing a lot more of these around here.

Last night, on Wed, August 18/2010, Holt Renfrew on Bloor St in Toronto threw an in-store shindig to launch a photo exhibit of work by fashion photographer/blogger Tommy Ton of Jak and Jil Blog featuring images of 12 of Fall 2010′s most coveted shoes. The event took place inside Holt Renfrew’s women’s shoe section (my kind of venue!!!) so I decided to pass through to play footsies with Tommy Ton and some of Toronto’s most fashionable.

If you missed the event, you still have the opportunity to visit the ‘Pic Me’ Tommy Tom Photo Exhibit which takes place from Aug 18-30/2010 at the Holt Renfrew Yorkville location.
