I absolutely love everything about this Mara Hoffman dress!!! I bought this dress at Atrium on a recent trip to Miami and I really wanted it in the other color too (pictured below), but they didn’t have my size. I like the way it drapes asymmetrically and the navy blue/pink color combo really makes the fluorescent cutouts pop. I can wear it longer or short, with or without a belt and it can even pass for day or night. I’ll have to wear it again one day and show you!!

The piece de resistance for me is the pink Chanel flap bag, part of Chanel’s limited edition Valentine’s collection. I know pink isn’t everyone’s thing, especially a pink bag, but there was just something so cute and charming about this buttery soft lambskin bag, so I just had to have it. It will be one of those summer bags I carry to brighten up my day.

The silver Christian Louboutin platform sandals are one of my scores from The Outnet.com and as you can see above, my little puppy CC loves these too. I remember using these shoes for a photoshoot a couple seasons ago and have always loved this sandal. They are easily one of the most comfortable Christian Louboutin sandals ever made and the silver metallic color is surely going to come in handy. I just couldn’t pass up a sale on these.

The MMVA‘s has always been one of my favourite events in Toronto, not so much because the awards themselves, but the after parties have always proven to be entertaining to say the least. In 2008, I worked with Rihanna backstage and in 2009, you might remember the video footage I captured of the Perez Hilton & WillIAM scuffle I “caught on tape” then sold to TMZ, hence I’m a big fan of the MMVA‘s!! lol.

This year for the 2010 Much Music Video Awards, I decided to hop around and give my #1 FY boy Jaystrut a real taste of what all the MMVA parties are like. We started at Drakes after party at Muzik, then hopped over to This Is London to kick it with the Universal & UOMO fam, then as tradition will have it, spent some time on the Ultra Patio where the official MMVA after party takes place every year. We opted out of attending the Perez Hilton madness at Opera house and  ended our night back at Muzik again and witnessed the Drake x Lebron x Muzik takeover. You know it’s a really special occasion when they play hip hop all night at Muzik.  What a fun night!

I’m a little obsessed with jumpsuits lately and have many more to show you. This one-shoulder is one of my absolute favorites that I scored a few weeks ago at Bebe. I love the rouching down the leg and the harem bottom, the silky fabric and how perfectly comfy it is for a long night of frolicking during the MMVA’s. The subtle champagne color was perfect to pair with my not-so-subtle Louis Vuitton Stephen Sprouse Speedy. The shoes were a random find…the Boutique 9 collection by Nine West. Who would have ever thought Nine West made such a snazzy shoe? They were super cushioned and comfy. The cherry on top was the ‘giant Chanel CC Logo rope necklace’. An oldie, but goodie! It must have been a full moon during this years MMVA’s festivities (Much Music Video Awards). Clearly, there were too many after parties, not enough eye candy and way too many wild goons running around in the streets. Nevertheless, the drama kept us entertained all night.

We started the night at Ultra, as I do every year after the MMVAs, but it was so A-list that it was just straight up boring. Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush in one corner, the Black Eyed Peas in the other while WillIAm was spinning, the Sean John crew, the Etalk crew, Girlicious, SYTYCD crew, a few industry regulars and Perez and Lady Gag. Yawn. Next stop was Century Room, to Drake’s party where we were greeted with a street full of cop cars and the S.W.A.T. team and rumors of a pool of blood and gun shots. Next! Cobra for the Universal Party which was just next door and was serving till 4am. I was almost falling asleep until I ran out to grab DJ Wikked and instead got caught in the middle of the WillIam and Perez Hilton scuffle. Now, that was hilarious. We laughed our way to Courthouse, where, finally, people were jammin and having fun and where the bar was also open to 4am! Great end to an drama-filled evening.
