Clearly leopard is one of the hottest trends of the season, but regardless of how quickly it seems to make its way in and out of fashions’ top 10, it’s one trend that I consider a classic. I don’t think I could ever get sick of animal prints which is why I love this vibrant blue leopard YSL silk scarf so much, being that it puts a fancy twist on the traditional brown print. It’s one of those extraordinary pieces that I might just keep in my closet forever.

Cartier represents pure luxury and is known for sinfully expensive jewelry and accessories. I miraculously scored a pair of vintage Cartier Santos Dumont aviator sunglasses in 18kt gold and platinum from Fashionably Yours. I especially love the signature Cartier fine details and you can just feel the impeccable quality. This rare find was likely sitting in someone’s Grandparents’ closet and are practically untouched, making this a prestigious addition to my rapidly growing eyewear collection. On Friday, November 12, I attended the second annual Frocktail Party, a stylish evening in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, which took place at 99 Sudbury in Toronto. Frocktail, not your average charity event, is an auction of hundreds of designer dresses, donated by celebrities, retailers, and designers, combined with cocktails and an evening of dancing. Fashionably Yours donated a Missoni dress (below) for the cause and appraised the dresses before the event. All the dresses that didn’t sell at the event are now available at Fashionably Yours and the proceeds will go to the JDRF. I actually won the bid on an amazing dress!!! I’ll be sure to show you when I wear it. xo

I gain inspiration for outfits every day, from so many different things in my surroundings, my store, the streets, magazines and online. Sometimes it’s just from shopping and seeing beautiful things hanging on a rack and often times it starts with a shoe I’m dying to wear. I had this vintage over-sized red blazer sitting in my closet for months now and was beginning to think I would never wear it until I saw Kanye West wearing this bright red suit with a leopard top underneath (at the JayZ Concert on my last trip to NYC). I couldn’t help but thinking that Kanye’s red/leopard combo might just look great with a girly twist. The only problem now is, that I wish I could wear it every day. (Why the hell not? Kanye wore it to the MTV VMA Awards, the JayZ Concert, and the BET Awards. Who knows where else? lol). What do you think?

I wore this outfit to the LANVIN x H&M Media Preview at the AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario) and ended up blending in with the collection. It made for some very fun photos in this outfit.

Happy Halloween!!!! I love Halloween because it gives us all a reason to get dressed up and get silly. The festivities started on Friday this year and lasted the entire weekend, being that it fell on a Sunday this year. I spent it at Fashionably Yours, my fashion Wonderland,  dressed as the Queen of Hearts and Michelle (my FY Angel), was dressed as Alice. Jaystrut was suppose to be the Madhatter but we found this ridiculous fat suit and it was just too hilarious. It comes with a battery operated built in fan that blows air into it and provided us with hours of laughter. I hope everyone had a blast this weekend. xo

What Am I Wearing?

Day 2 of LG Fashion Week, I attended the Line Knitwear S/S 2011 Show and brought my girl Nebby along and met up with my FY boy JayStrut. Nebby always adds a fun little twist on life. I wore this asymmetrical cutout dress by Mason, an LA based brand founded by designer Michelle Mason. She has an awesome edgy collection of dresses and fashion forward pieces that I started collecting a couple seasons ago, so you’ll be seeing a lot more Mason around here. I didn’t even get a chance to take my jacket off, so you can’t really see the amazing cutout detailing of this dress, hence I’ll surely be wearing this again one day soon.

I love this heavily studded blazer I scored from Fashionably Yours and wore to the Greta Constantine SS 2011 Event on Friday. I’m not even sure who makes it because it didn’t have a tag when I got it, but I’m pretty sure it’s from Zara. Regardless, it’s fab and it’s found a happy home in my closet.
