I wore this asymmetrical cutout dress by Mason, an LA based brand founded by designer Michelle Mason. She has an awesome edgy collection of dresses and fashion forward pieces that I started collecting a couple seasons ago, so you’ll be seeing a lot more Mason around here. I didn’t even get a chance to take my jacket off, so you can’t really see the amazing cutout detailing of this dress, hence I’ll surely be wearing this again one day soon.

I wore this outfit to the Tommy Tom ‘Pic Me’ Photo Exhibit aka Shoe Party at Holt Renfrew, held last night, on Wed, August 18/2010. When I realized this was going to be an event focused on shoes, I was torn between wearing a new pair of YSL sky high pumps or prematurely busting out the Fall 2010 Acne Admire wedges I got in the mail a few weeks ago. Acne won the shoe battle this time but I think I’ll put these away till fall and continue to enjoy my last few weeks of summer in sandals!! Not only are these boots just so super cool, they are extremely comfortable, so I have a feeling you’ll be seeing a lot more of these around here.

I got the coveted ACNE ADMIRE wedge boots in the mail a couple weeks ago (all the way from Sweden) and I am anticipating the arrival of fall just so I can rock these boots!!!! I have no doubt that these are going to be on my top 5 list of all time favorite platform shoes I’ve ever owned. As much as I hate to see summer go, these give me something very exciting to look forward to this fall. I’m tempted to give them a pre-fall outing tonight. We’ll see. Retail $680 US.
