To say my 2012 New Year’s Eve was memorable, is an understatement. I attended The ‘Ciroc The New Year’ Private Party hosted by Diddy at his Miami Mansion on Star Island. I’ve been to many of Diddy’s parties in the past but this one was extra special; It was intimate, yet star-studded, well attended by his close friends, family and fellow entertainers. It was held amidst the finest of backdrops inside (and outside) his Miami estate which included a romantically lit Olympic size pool, lit up custom dance floor and tasteful, strategically placed Ciroc decor. We arrived to Diddy’s home around 11:45pm and was greeted by heavy duty security at his front gate, then escorted inside, past his entourage of crazy cars. We were immediately welcomed by beautiful model-esque women, dressed in gold sequin dresses handing out whistles and what seemed to be an unlimited supply Ciroc and champagne. Diddy was on the mic calling everyone to the dance floor before the countdown. His mama, his kids (including his adorable twins) & baby mama were running around and getting busy on the dance floor. Everyone crowded around for the countdown, we hugged and kissed, then Diddy gathered everyone to the back of his house to watch fireworks. Throughout the night, I spotted a continuous stream of familiar celebrity faces including Rihanna, Rick Ross, Nelly, Jermaine Dupris, Neyo, Gayle King, Star Jones, Vivica Fox, Andre Harrell, Matt Kemp (ooooh man, he’s fine), Sanaa Lathan, DJ Khalid, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, Adrienne Bailon and both of Diana Ross’ children, Tracee Ellis Ross & Evan Ross. I chatted and snapped photos with the ever so talented Robin Thicke, who was there with his wife Paula Patton. Shout out to my girls from NYC, Kelly & Yvonne, who soldiered the long, entertaining 5+ hour evening with me and for taking care of me in my 6 inch Giuseppe Swarovski Platform Shoes. When we finally left at around 5am, the complimentary slippers & car service was a life saver. Thanks Diddy for that added touch. I must say, it was a pretty spectacular way to start off 2012 and if this was any indication of what the rest of my year is going to be like, well then, I have a lot to look forward to. I finally got my hands (and feet lol) on my favorite Alaia Azzedine Hiking Boots in black!! I also bought these in a Zebra Print at the beginning of the season and they are by far the most comfortable boots to compliment my fall/winter wardrobe. I heard that they’re on sale for 40% off at The Room at The Bay. That’s 40% off $1920. Ouch, but promise they’re well worth every penny.

You may or may not have noticed by now, how obsessed I am with Camilla Skovgaard Saw Wedge booties. I have them in three different finishes because they’re super comfy and go with everything, day & night. This season, I discovered the Camilla Skovagaard Saw Wedge 3-in-1 Zip Boots and I’m slightly excited for the weather to cool down so I can finally wear them!! These may very well be the most versatile boots in my wardrobe because they can be worn 3 (or 4) different ways simply by unzipping one of the 3 tiers. That’s three pairs of boots in one…ankle, mid length or calf length boots or folded over so the shearling side shows. I haven’t quite yet decided which way I like best, but one things for sure, I’ll be putting a lot of mileage on these booties this winter. Good thing for the durable Skovgaard signature saw wedges. The Christian Lobuoutin Leopard Printed Pony Daf Booty Boots, was my ultimate must-have boots of the season. Remember when I said that I had something spectacular in the bag when I was standing in front of the Louboutin store on Horatio street in NYC? Well this was it. Judging by the Christian Louboutin Online Store, which shows these boots as SOLD OUT in every size, they are definitely one of the most coveted boots of the season and I’m thankful that they now have a permanent home in my closet. Perhaps it’s time I need to enroll myself in Christian Louboutin therapy to get over my addiction to the 160mm perfect platform Daf collection.

Spring has finally decided to grace us with some warm, sunny weather. With that, comes patios, slushy drinks, and my favourite Louis Vuitton wedges. Finally!!

My most ultimate go-to summer sandals are my Louis Vuitton cork wedges from the Spring 2010 & 2011 collection. My first pair were the classic monogram, fittingly named ‘Be Happy’ Wedges that I loved so much (I even got them re-soled!), so I bought the “Be Happy” White Multicolor Wedges (which seem to go with everything this season), then was super stoked when I discovered that they debuted the“Summer Time” Patent Wedges (pictured in green)  and the ‘Oasis’ Monogram T-Strap Wedges (pictured in black) for Spring 2011. Despite the 5″+ height, these shoes are the most comfortable wedges in my closet hands down and worth every pretty penny. Fingers crossed that they’ll bring these back next season. Clearly, I just can’t get enough of these!

Proenza Schouler designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez (below) hosted a sweltering hot party at The Room at The Bay on Wednesday night, in celebration of their Fall 2011 Trunk show held the next day. I passed through and mingled amongst my fashionable peers in a sweaty room filled with industry regulars. I wore a one of my favorite Proenza blazers to represent for the occasion. This amazing textured puff short sleeve blazer has been sitting in my closet just waiting for me to give it some play.

The Jimmy Choo Vienna Wedge Sandals were at the top of my shoe list of Spring/Summer 2011 must haves. I spotted these on the Jimmy Choo ad campaign at the beginning of the season and scoured the world wide web to find these tassled, animal print beauties. Lucky for me, these 5″ wedges are surprisingly comfortable because at a whopping retail price of $1100, I took a chance by ordering them online. My shoe angel must have been watching over me.

I recently wore these when shooting an episode of the reality show “Princess” on Slice TV and expect that these will be getting a lot of mileage this summer!!

When Slice TV asked me to film an episode of the Reality TV Series “Princess” at Fashionably Yours and suggested that I wear bright colors for the camera, I happily obliged (as long as I wasn’t asked to play the part of “Princess”). Considering the fact that it’s been raining for more than 9 days straight, a pop of color added just the sunshine I needed to brighten up these past gloomy days.
