One of my favourite U.S. retailers Intermix opened its first Canadian boutique on Bloor St in Toronto and although they’ve been open since August, I was recently invited to the Official Intermix Canada Launch Party on November 23/11, hosted by The Coveteur at the Airship 37 in the Distillery District. It was well attended by Toronto Fashion’s usual suspects and started off pretty calm until Brooklyn rapper Theophilus London got his hands on the one’s and two’s and turned the party up about a hundred notches. He even managed to get the normally stuffy fashion crowd busting moves on the dance floor (myself & my crew included). I wore a studded piece of Versace for H&M and debuted my Hermes Black Birkin 30 for the occasion. It was another super fun night with my buddy Minna Rhee (Global TV) and my FY lovelies JayStrut & Richard.

Nicola Formichetti of Thierry Mugler visited Toronto’s The Room at The Bay on Tuesday, November 17/11, alongside his creative team & women’s designer Sébastien Peigné. Nicola is not only the Creative Director of Thierry Mugler, he is also the creative consultant for Uniglo, fashion director for Vogue Hommes, Japan and celebrity stylist responsible for the elaborately outrageous album & video style of super star Lady Gaga. That’s quite an impressive resume for a 34 year old who’s budding career has really just begun.

I had chance to chat with him (along with my Fashionably Yours‘ boy JayStrut) and on top of being super talented & undeniably sexy, he was exceptionally gracious and humble.

Faulhaber PR celebrated their 10 Year Anniversary on Wed, Nov 9/11, held at Neubacher Shor Contemporary Gallery which featured the unveiling of Project F, a series of images created by photographer Christopher Wadsworth and illustrator Matt Forsyte. Faulhaber is a boutique Public Relations agency specializing in Lifestyle Clientele.

My buddy Minna Rhee & I were both invited so we decided to make it a fun date night, along with my two Fashionably Yours’ staff JayStrut & Richard. It was a fun little soiree with tasty snacks, papparazzi & lots of familiar fashion regulars. I’m behind on my blogging again but I’ve been working super duper extra hard (before and after a recent vacation to the Carribean). I attended the annual birthday celebration of my homegirl & party promoter Mona of Lady Luck Entertainment. The party took place at Tattoo Rock Parlour and the music was provided by homies DJ Holiday (Atlanta) & DJ Wikked (Toronto/SXM). It was wild. Happy Birthday Mona!! I wore this skimpy dress by Motel Rocks and my sky high Lady Dafs and fit right in with the scantily clad crowd that Lady Luck parties are infamous for. I wore this outfit to the Playboy themed Gotstyle Club Party the other night. Gotstyle is Canada’s best menswear store owned by my dear friend Melissa Austridge. It’s the only fashion party in the city where the women are out numbered by the men and not just any men…I’m talking well dressed, dapper, handsome gentlemen (a novelty these days, no?). I’m always down to support any Gotsyle event, but this was one of my favorites to date. There was a fashion show, a champagne bag, gin bar, roulette tables, bunny ears, a band that played amazing music & flashing lights. Kudos to Charlotte Jenkins, the Gotstyle event coordinator for curating this fun soiree (who just so happens to be my assistant from my first ever music video…eons ago). I pulled out my red  blazer, pearls and sequin shorts for the occasion, all very necessary objects in my wardrobe and just perfect for this Playboy themed party.

Proenza Schouler designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez (below) hosted a sweltering hot party at The Room at The Bay on Wednesday night, in celebration of their Fall 2011 Trunk show held the next day. I passed through and mingled amongst my fashionable peers in a sweaty room filled with industry regulars. I wore a one of my favorite Proenza blazers to represent for the occasion. This amazing textured puff short sleeve blazer has been sitting in my closet just waiting for me to give it some play.
