I just scored this stunning Chanel Tiffany Blue ‘Limited Edition’ 2.55 Flap bag (photo taken with my iphone). Clearly, I just can’t get enough of colored Chanel Flap Bags, but this one is super rare and oh so special. It’s exactly the color of the classic Tiffany blue. Ridiculous, right? Perhaps I’ll wear it during the Christmas Holidays. For now, it’s sitting pretty in a glass case, along with the rest of my colored Chanel arm candy. I think this one’s a keeper. xo

I was recently asked to give my expertise on “How to Buy the IT Bag” featured in The Toronto Star’s “The Kit Magazine”. The photos of me and my little puppy Chloe were shot on location at Fashionably Yours, my Toronto Designer Consignment Boutique. They asked me to show them some of my favourite iconic ‘It’ bags in my bag collection, including the Celine Mini Luggage Tote, Hermes Orange Birkin 35, Hermes Red Kelly Bag, and a few of my rare Chanel Flap bags. Shout out to Glynnis Map from The Kit for the interview. Check out the feature below…xo

The Kardashians, the Olsens: overflowing from the arms of celebrities, socialites and the rich and famous are gorgeous—and painfully pricey—designer handbags. “The handbag is, without doubt, riding in the front seat with the statement shoe,” says pursehound and owner of online and in-store Toronto consignment shop Fashionably Yours, Janet Han. “Every designer is trying to get a piece of the multi-billion dollar designer bag pie.” The former celebrity stylist (she’s worked with Beyoncé, Rihanna and Fefe Dobson) owns more than 100 handbags (!!!) and carries luxe labels in her store at a fraction of the cost.
Han suggests you consider these four points carefully to find your perfect purse purchase—or sell the ones you have the strength to part with, smartly:
1. HARDWARE. “Consider what kind of jewellery you will wear with the bag. Tone-on-tone buckles and zippers are subtle and versatile.”
2. BRAND NAME. “Most handbags go on sale once the season ends and lose value—Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermès never (almost never) go on sale. Even decades from now, these brands will hold their value.”
3. SHAPE. “Choose a classic shape that suits your body and fulfills your needs, both for function and fashion.”
4. LEATHER. “The softer the leather, the more expensive—and delicate—they are. Lambskin leather bags retail for slightly more than caviar leather, but caviar leather tends to have a
higher resale value.”

LG Fashion Week Day 5 Finale was a crazy zoo, filled with fashion thirsty men & women itching to catch a final glimpse of Canadian fashion. I mainly attended to support my talented friend & NYC designer Lauren Bagliore, then stayed for the finale closing show of the always entertaining designer Denis Gagnon. Lauren’s show was super edgy as expected, with a lot of cool draping and asymmetrical lines and all the models were wearing my favourite Camilla Skovgaard saw booties. I had a blast catching up with old & new friends and bumping into many of my most fashionable FY consignors. I debuted my Christian Louboutin Leopard Daf Booty Boots along with my orange Birkin & my new favourite Bleulab reversible jeans. Until next season…adios, my fashionable amigos.
OUTFIT: Bleulab Reversible Jeans (military green side), Lumiere blouse (Leigh & Harlow), Topshop trench coat, Hermes Orange Birkin, Hermes Constance belt, Hermes Collier de Chein, Hermes Clic Clak, Chanel watch, earring, necklace & rings, Christian Louboutin Leopard Daf Booty Boots

I enjoyed the Denis Gagnon show with Canadian starlet and FY consignor, Ivana Santilli & my old buddy Dru (R&B singer), previously of R&B group In Essence.

A lovely chat with a super calm Denis Gagnon before the show.

Global TV News visited Fashionably Yours to chat with me about all the wonderful authentic luxury designer bags available for sale in my store and some of my favorite FY finds. The segment was inspired by the launch of Tiffany & Co’s newest handbag collection and the popularity and obsession with the ‘It’ handbag. Check out some behind-the-scenes clips from the shoot. A big huge shout out to Minna Rhee, Sandy (the camera man) and Global TV News for taking the time to feature my store. xoxo

On day four of LG Fashion Week in Toronto, I just wanted to be warm, having froze the night before. I almost didn’t make it to the shows after a jammed packed day @ShopFY. We’ve been booked back to back with consignment appointments which happens every time the seasons change. I was in desperate need of a hair cut so I ran over to see Daniel of Salon Daniel, not only one of the city’s best veteran stylists, but truly one of the most charming people I have ever known. He takes the pain out of cutting my hair. After a little snip, I headed over to the LGFW tents at David Pecaut Square watch the Bustle & Valk show.
OUTFIT: Jumpsuit (Fashionably Yours), Elizabeth & James blazer with fur collar, Celine Leopard Luggage Tote, Christian Louboutin Red Suede Lady Daf 160mm Platform Shoes, Hermes H Wide Clic Clak, Hermes Medor Watch & Bracelet, Chanel Vintage Necklace & Earrings.

Just a tiny little snip snip.

Jessica from Michael Kors. Hot shoes gggirl!

With singer/actress @CoryLeeMusic & @ShopFY blogger @JayStrut. I styled one of Cory’s first music videos years back and even made a cameo appearance it. These days you can catch her acting in Degrassi The Next Generation.

One of my favorite Fashionably Yours’ consignors, Julie Yoo from I Miss You vintage boutique in Toronto.

With Lindsay of Faulhaber PR & Sonny Fong of Vawk who put on a super hot show.

People are always astounded by how much I pack whilst traveling. As much as I love clothes, I’m totally obsessed with accessories and have managed to collect a lot of everything over the years. Some people collect art. I collect designer accessories & platform shoes. I get rid of a lot of my clothing every season, but accessories last decades. To me, accessories are every day essentials and without them I feel naked. Here’s just a few goodies I packed for my trip to Vegas & New York. Absolutely necessary for 8 days of frolicking.

From Top to Bottom: Chole, YSL Vintage, Gucci Vintage, Leonard Paris Vintage, YSL Vintage, Marni.

Louis Vuitton toiletry bags are an absolute travel must-have. I use them to keep my accessories, makeup & toiletries organized in my suitcase & carry-on. They are extremely durable & most of them even have a washable interior with bottle holders. I would highly recommend you invest in one or two or three of these for every day or travel. There’s an amazing selection available now in several shapes & sizes at Fashionably Yours, for much less than retail.

The Louis Vuitton Eden Runway Speedy, my go-to travel bag with Louis Vuitton Accessories Pouchette which I use for every day make-up & my Louis Vuitton Cellphone case which was originally produced only one year to hold a Motorolla Flip phone back in the 90’s, but just happen to fit my Blackberry perfectly!! I love this little thing.

Options.
