I scored these VERSACE ‘GOLD BUTTON UP’ BLACK PLATFORM BOOTS a couple of months ago from Luisaviaroma.com. Crazy, right? They feature a 160mm heel, which is pretty much the norm for me these days, but it’s the 60mm layered cutout platform that make these boots so outrageously fabulous. Believe it or not, they’re ridiculously comfortable!! I know I always say that, but perhaps my feet are just made for super sky high platform shoes. All I know is, they look good with everything in my fall/winter wardrobe and feel damn good on my feet. What else can you ask for in a boot?

I spent my 2012 New Year’s Eve at Diddy‘s ‘Ciroc The New Year‘ Private Party inside his exquisite Miami Mansion. I knew my 2012 New Year’s Eve celebration was going to be a memorable one, just as soon I laid eyes on this beautiful Swarovski encrusted sequin cutout blush pink silk dress by Mandalay. This dress was yet another one of my amazing scores from Fashionably Yours and although I often pick outfits around my shoes, this year I flew to Miami in hopes to find the perfect shoes to go with this Cinderella worthy dress. I lucked out at Bal Harbour Shops with these oh-so-amazing Giuseppe Zanotti Swarovski ‘No Heel’ Platform Shoes. The dress and the shoes were two very good reasons to debut my Chanel ‘Tifanny Blue’ 2.55 Flap Bag...and oh, what a memorable night it was. OUTFIT: Mandalay blush pink cutout sequin dress (Fashionably Yours), Chanel ‘Tiffany Blue’ 2.55 Flap Bag, Chanel Necklace & Earrings, Hermes pink H clic clak bracelet, Giuseppe Zanotti Swarovski Crystal No Heel Platform Peep Toe Shoes

I was on the hunt for sparkly shoes to go with my sparkly New Years Eve dress and just when I almost gave up, I found these Gieseppe Zanotti Swarvski Crystal ‘No Heel’ Platform Shoes. I gasped at the first sight of these. They were everything I imagined minus the heel. There’s just something so magical about the missing heel and although it felt almost sinful to dish out $2000 for shoes without a heel, I just couldn’t resist. I really wanted to start 2012 off on the right foot. xo

The Christmas holidays are my absolute favourite time of year. I love everything about Xmas; the food, the carols, the lights, the family, the love and the wonderful celebration of gift giving. I hosted my 2nd Annual Fashionably Yours Xmas Potluck dinner with my FY staff. Not only am I blessed with a hard working staff, they are each individually unique, stylish, smart, kind and so much fun. I’d like to think it’s partially to do with the fact that they have a super cool boss (lol). At the end of the day, we’re like a little family and I’m the mama. lol.
We exchanged Secret Santa gifts and everyone left with major designer scores. Jaystrut was my Secret Santa (again!), but I gifted each of them with special designer items to suit each their individual styles. Only at a Fashionably Yours X-mas party, does everyone leave with Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Hermes & Gucci. They work hard all year round, so X-mas is my time to spoil them. And then they spoiled me right back. There were tears of joy (Michelle), non-stop laughter (Jaystrut) and a shit load of Gucci (Hoda). We didn’t get any group shots this time, but shout out to Richard, Alison, Kathryn, Hailey & Paula who are a little camera shy. I love my team. xo
OUTFIT: (Yes, I wore red & green). Red sheer blouse (from Mendocino), Topshop green jeans, Hermes Black/Gold H belt & Clic Clak, Chanel necklace & earrings, Matiko leopard wedge boots

Presents from my staff…Christian Louboutin x Chanel books & a Links of London horseshoe charm (because I’m good luck). The books are amazing and will go nicely with the rest of my growing collection of designer coffee table books.

X-mas tree done the Fashionably Yours way…

Yes, it’s true. I bought another Birkin. Say hello to the latest addition to my Hermes family…the Hermes Black Epsom Birkin 30. Epsom leather is known for its durability and structure and the 30cm is the perfect size to take me from day to night. I absolutely love my Hermes Orange Togo Birkin 35 but I find that it is a bit too big at times to carry at night or to events. This classic black Birkin 30 goes well with just about everything in my wardrobe and will likely be a staple in my bag collection for years to come.
Speaking of Birkins, if you are interested in buying or selling a Hermes Birkin (or any designer item), be sure to reach out to us at Fashionably Yours, and we’ll scour the world to find your dream bag or sell an existing bag for you. Although we are based in Toronto, we have some of the most prestigious clients in the world and specialize in the resale of Authentic Luxury Products from Hermes, Chanel, Louis Vuitton and much much more….be sure to check out FashionablyYours.com or follow FY on Twitter for Up-to-the-minute updates. xo

Nicola Formichetti of Thierry Mugler visited Toronto’s The Room at The Bay on Tuesday, November 17/11, alongside his creative team & women’s designer Sébastien Peigné. Nicola is not only the Creative Director of Thierry Mugler, he is also the creative consultant for Uniglo, fashion director for Vogue Hommes, Japan and celebrity stylist responsible for the elaborately outrageous album & video style of super star Lady Gaga. That’s quite an impressive resume for a 34 year old who’s budding career has really just begun.
I had chance to chat with him (along with my Fashionably Yours‘ boy JayStrut) and on top of being super talented & undeniably sexy, he was exceptionally gracious and humble.

LG Fashion Week Day 5 Finale was a crazy zoo, filled with fashion thirsty men & women itching to catch a final glimpse of Canadian fashion. I mainly attended to support my talented friend & NYC designer Lauren Bagliore, then stayed for the finale closing show of the always entertaining designer Denis Gagnon. Lauren’s show was super edgy as expected, with a lot of cool draping and asymmetrical lines and all the models were wearing my favourite Camilla Skovgaard saw booties. I had a blast catching up with old & new friends and bumping into many of my most fashionable FY consignors. I debuted my Christian Louboutin Leopard Daf Booty Boots along with my orange Birkin & my new favourite Bleulab reversible jeans. Until next season…adios, my fashionable amigos.
OUTFIT: Bleulab Reversible Jeans (military green side), Lumiere blouse (Leigh & Harlow), Topshop trench coat, Hermes Orange Birkin, Hermes Constance belt, Hermes Collier de Chein, Hermes Clic Clak, Chanel watch, earring, necklace & rings, Christian Louboutin Leopard Daf Booty Boots

I enjoyed the Denis Gagnon show with Canadian starlet and FY consignor, Ivana Santilli & my old buddy Dru (R&B singer), previously of R&B group In Essence.

A lovely chat with a super calm Denis Gagnon before the show.

On day four of LG Fashion Week in Toronto, I just wanted to be warm, having froze the night before. I almost didn’t make it to the shows after a jammed packed day @ShopFY. We’ve been booked back to back with consignment appointments which happens every time the seasons change. I was in desperate need of a hair cut so I ran over to see Daniel of Salon Daniel, not only one of the city’s best veteran stylists, but truly one of the most charming people I have ever known. He takes the pain out of cutting my hair. After a little snip, I headed over to the LGFW tents at David Pecaut Square watch the Bustle & Valk show.
