If there’s one place I always visit on my frequent trips to NYC, it’sTopshop and considering Toronto only just recently launched a mini Topshop inside the Toronto based retailer Jonathan & Olivia, I’ve managed to collect a ton of pieces from past collections (with much help from the Topshop Personal Shopping Service). Many of my favorites have been from their collaborations with hot designers such as Mark Fast, Christopher Kane, Jonathan Saunders, Meadham Kirchhoff, Louise Goldin and Richard Nicoll. There’s always something so sentimentally special about collaborations of any kind.
Here’s a sneak peak at the Kate Moss Topshop Collection for Fall/Winter 2010. This will be the 36-yr old super model’s final collection after 14 collections over four years, inspired by her own Boho-meets-Seventies rock style. This shaggy hooded cardigan is all I need to get me through the Canadian winter. The other pieces include a “fringe embroidery dress” & and a low cut Indian mini dress, but neither are not nearly as notable as this cardigan.
The final collection goes on sale online and in stores on November 2/2010. I’ve got my fingers crossed that Toronto will be included in this launch. See more images and read all the details at the Daily Mail.
Yesterday, I re-tweeted a tweet from Elle Magazine linking a post via WWD which speculated, that according to their market sources, “It looks like H&M has snared one of the hottest labels in Europe – Lanvin – for its next designer collaboration.”
Well, it’s official!! H&M has confirmed that its next designer collaboration will indeed be with Lanvin, one of the most influential brands of the 21st century. The collection will go on sale on November 23 in around 200 stores worldwide and will include both womenswear and menswear, designed by Lanvin’s artistic director Alber Elbaz, and menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver. Wow! If their past collaborations are any indication, I can only imagine the long lineups & anticipation leading up to the opening of those doors on November 23!! Who wants to volunteer to stand in line?????
Lanvin is the latest brand to collaborate with H&M, with previous collections designed by the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Comme des Garcons and Sonia Rykiel. In a new twist, the Lanvin for H&M collection will be revealed to the world through a special film which will be launched on November 2. The film will be available for all to see online at www.hm.com. Following the film’s debut, it will be just three weeks before customers have the chance to get their hands on a cove-table piece of Lanvin for H&M.
Since joining Lanvin as artistic director in 2001, Alber Elbaz has transformed the Paris-based label, founded in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin, into a fashion powerhouse bursting with ideas and creativity. Alber Elbaz has pioneered there some of the biggest trends of the past decade – ribbon, bows, pearls, raw edges, sumptuous colour and metallic embellishment among many others. Alber Elbaz has a mastery of cut and an instinct for cloth which leaves a very personal signature on his work, ensuring that all Lanvin clothes are instantly recognizable. Since the introduction of a new menswear line in 2006, Alber Elbaz has also transformed the male wardrobe, bringing a relaxed elegance to men’s clothing which is as special as the womenswear.

When most people think Miami South Beach, they think clubs, parties, good food & beautiful beaches. All I can think of when I think of Miami is The Bal Harbour Shops. Not only is Bal Harbour Shops a one stop shop for almost every luxury retailer in the world (almost), it’s a gorgeous outdoor mall with an indoor feel. That place is truly my Heaven on Earth. I must have spent more than 8 hours there and the only reason why I left was because it closed. lol. Anyhow, here’s a few pics from my little escapade.
Christian Dior had a 50% off sale on the most amazing shoes from their Spring/Summer 2010 Runway Collection. I had to pinch myself.
On my feet, Versace Fall 2010 multi-color platform shoes!! A special order from the Caesar’s Palace Forum Shops in Las Vegas. These colors will surely come in handy.

The waiter brought this purse rack over to our table. Every restaurant needs this.

I hate saying good-bye to all the pretty shoe boxes when I travel.
Shoes, shoes & more shoes which miraculously all fit inside my suitcase. Amen.
