As you may have noticed by now, I have a serious love affair with platform shoes but red hot platform footwear make my heart skip a couple beats. They’re not just a passing trend but an absolute staple in my shoe collection and I can’t seem to get enough of them. Red shoes give instant life to the most casual of outfits and is the cherry on top of the most glamorous outfit. It adds a pop of color to an all black palette, always looks amazing with stripes or is a great accent color to a completely mundane color like khaki green. The amazing thing about the color red, is that it’s one color you never need to match and will always be smoking hot on your feet!

A few of my favorite red booties for this season are the super platform wedges by Giuseppe Zanotti (above) and the platform ankle boots by Valentino & Versace and my absolute must-have red pumps of the season (perhaps of all time) are the super platform YSL Tribute Too pumps that I bought at the Bal Harbour Shops in Miami. Whatever the occasion, be prepared to get a lot of stares and snickering as you walk…from all the women who wish they had the guts to wear sky high red heels with confidence and from all the men that think of sex when you walk by.
