Celebrity Stylist, Show Producer & Founder of Toronto's hippest Designer Consignment Boutique FASHIONABLY YOURS! After being hacked last year, I'm finally back with more Fashion, Events, Shopping, Outfits and a healthy obsession with all things Luxury & Platform Shoes! **Blogging since 2006**
Speaking of Lanvin, I’ll be in NYC again for New York Fashion Week and one of the things I’m excited about is visiting the new Lanvin flagship Store on Manhattan’s Upper East Side on Madison Avenue & 68th Street.
In September, the two top floors of this 6,875 square foot landmark townhouse will be home to Lanvin’s corporate office and the first three floors will boast their stunning 3,550 square foot retail boutique.
It will likely take me a while to take in all that Lanvin NYC has to offer, and whilst inside my imagination will surely run wild. I’m inspired by many people & things, but beautiful storefront windows and retail spaces have always inspired me to dream…dream bigger than life. If I’m lucky (really really lucky), I might even do some shopping. I’ll be sure to keep you posted…xo

My best friend bought her wedding dress at Kleinfeld Bridal on a recent trip to NYC and it was love at first sight when I saw the stunning Lanvin window displays!!
Yesterday, I re-tweeted a tweet from Elle Magazine linking a post via WWD which speculated, that according to their market sources, “It looks like H&M has snared one of the hottest labels in Europe – Lanvin – for its next designer collaboration.”
Well, it’s official!! H&M has confirmed that its next designer collaboration will indeed be with Lanvin, one of the most influential brands of the 21st century. The collection will go on sale on November 23 in around 200 stores worldwide and will include both womenswear and menswear, designed by Lanvin’s artistic director Alber Elbaz, and menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver. Wow! If their past collaborations are any indication, I can only imagine the long lineups & anticipation leading up to the opening of those doors on November 23!! Who wants to volunteer to stand in line?????
Lanvin is the latest brand to collaborate with H&M, with previous collections designed by the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Comme des Garcons and Sonia Rykiel. In a new twist, the Lanvin for H&M collection will be revealed to the world through a special film which will be launched on November 2. The film will be available for all to see online at www.hm.com. Following the film’s debut, it will be just three weeks before customers have the chance to get their hands on a cove-table piece of Lanvin for H&M.
Since joining Lanvin as artistic director in 2001, Alber Elbaz has transformed the Paris-based label, founded in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin, into a fashion powerhouse bursting with ideas and creativity. Alber Elbaz has pioneered there some of the biggest trends of the past decade – ribbon, bows, pearls, raw edges, sumptuous colour and metallic embellishment among many others. Alber Elbaz has a mastery of cut and an instinct for cloth which leaves a very personal signature on his work, ensuring that all Lanvin clothes are instantly recognizable. Since the introduction of a new menswear line in 2006, Alber Elbaz has also transformed the male wardrobe, bringing a relaxed elegance to men’s clothing which is as special as the womenswear.
As I’m sure you guessed by now, I’m a bit of an accessory monger or as my friends like to call me, an accessory stand. Some people don’t believe in over accessorizing or accessorizing at all, but I think it’s an art and when it’s done right, it can be a beautiful thing. Either way, it’s a fun way to add a personal touch to an everyday outfit. I met these hot girls this summer from ABE Jewelry (All Black Everything), Jessica Casey & Sam Black. I picked up a couple of their body chains from the Sex & the City Party. Here’s one I’m rockin over a Helmut Lang loose knit tank. Simple but edgy. You’ll surely be seeing more body armor around here.
The Tokyo Flash Fire watch watch that wraps around your wrist and flashes multi-coloured LED lights to tell the time. Each hole indicates one unit of time—yellow LEDs are the hours, red LEDs show every ten minutes and green LEDs show single minutes. Confusing indeed. I got this last year and even though I still haven’t quite figured out how to tell the time, it makes for a great accessory.
One of my favorite pair of sunglasses I got from my boys over at Ransom a while back, is this collaboration by Marharishi & Mosley Tribes. They come equipped with 3 different colored interchangeable lens, making these a 3 in 1.
On my feet, the Jeffrey Campbell wedges that look almost exactly like the D&G wedges I wanted but couldn’t find in my size anywhere. I saved about $500 so I’m happy with these.
I discovered these Spring 2010 Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte Shoes at Bergdorf Goodman in NYC way back in May. I was shopping for wedding shoes for my BFF’s upcoming wedding when I stumbled across these works of art and literally stood there dumbfounded. It’s safe to say I got a little sidetracked from my wedding duties for a moment and you can imagine my joy when I realized they fit me like a glove and were unexpectedly comfy too, bolts and all.
Since then I have seen these on the feet of countless celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, Kelly Rowland & Rihanna. Kudos to the genius minds that created these.
The Alexander Wang Cynthia Drawstring Wristlet is not your typical wristlet, with its laser cut velvet cowhide leather, wide studded leather strap, cutout details, brushed silver panels & signature coil chain drawstring closure. Perfect for a daring night out on the town. Retails $795US.
When I saw this dress, my heart pretty much skipped a couple beats, so I decided to check out the rest of this collection. It’s part of the Anthony VaccarelloFall-Winter 2010-2011 collection and all these dresses belong in my closet. It’s the combination of the grommets, the geometric cutouts, the sheer panels, the textures and the fine details of these dresses that make this sculptural collection edgy but feminine at the same time. A combination that’s always most appealing to me.
This is a typical scene for me to be strolling down the street on my way to Fashionably Yours, looking at my watch. It was one of the last Summer Sundays of the year and I was in a nostalgic mood, so I celebrated a picture perfect weekend with an eclectic mix of VintageLouis Vuitton, NeoStyle, Chanel, Levi’s and more….
I love the ombre lens on these super over-sized NeoStyle Vintage Sunglasses…part of the Vintage Frames collection at Fashionably Yours.
I scored these amazing boots on one of my shopping sprees at Topshop in NYC. They remind me of the Chloe booties I wrote about last year but a bit higher and more platform. In other words, even better for me!!!
